Hi, I’m Jenna!
I am an Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand and Upper Extremity Therapist, and a Level 1 Functional Pelvic Health Practitioner. My own pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey made me aware of how little support women receive during this beautiful transition.
After an unplanned cesarean delivery, I was given no education or instruction for my own recovery besides “don’t lift anything heavy.” Nothing about how to manage positioning during feeding, how to safely lift my son in and out of his crib, or how to care for my scar. What about peeing, pooping, and sex? This lack of information absolutely blew my mind, and I had no idea what to expect. For the first time in my life I felt like a stranger in my own body. Not ideal. Prior to my pregnancy, I was used to pushing through obstacles and challenging my body, but that didn’t seem like the right approach.
You do not have to accept that feeling this way is just a normal part of motherhood. You can do something about it! We all deserve to feel supported, confident, and connected to ourselves. I want to empower you to feel your absolute best. Reach out to learn how pelvic floor occupational therapy can help you prepare for birth and postpartum, both physically and mentally.
I know trying to make time or appointments for yourself can feel impossible. I offer 1:1 personalized sessions in the comfort of your own home. Book a discovery call with me today. I would be honored to hear your story!
